Secure Cloud

Sidus Group’s Cloud Datacenter Service is an enterprise-class solution that provides a compatible, interoperable environment for enterprises wishing to implement a private, public or hybrid cloud strategy. Our Cloud Datacenter Service provides application portability and infrastructure compatibility with enterprise-class levels of performance, security and availability.

Sidus Group’s Cloud Datacenter Service combines the power and flexibility of infrastructure-as-a-service with the expertise, security and availability that organizations with mission-critical computing needs-demand of their infrastructure. An easy-to-use management interface provides command and control over a cloud-based resource pool of compute, storage and network built on a fully clustered enterprise-class computing architecture.

Because it’s based on resources, not large and inflexible server units, the Cloud Datacenter Service allows for precise and dynamic allocation of computing resources when and where they’re needed. And, because its based on a utility computing platform, massive and diverse network connectivity and top-tier data centers, the Cloud Datacenter Service has the scale, performance and security to meet all your enterprises needs. The Cloud Datacenter Service gives customers a discrete, dedicated pool of compute resources (CPU, memory, and storage).

VIRTUAL PRIVATE SERVERS

Sidus Group Virtual Private Servers or VPS are one of several isolated server environments that reside within large and powerful physical servers (think of it like a condominium with all the amenities of your own house, which just happens to be a part of a larger structure).

A Virtual Private Server is a simulation of hardware by a host operating system that allows another operating system to run on it.

With a VPS, you get your own secure hosting environment, complete with system administrator access and the ability to install and configure whatever you desire within your environment. Although there is usually more than one virtual server on each machine, there is no way for other users to see your VPS or even know that you’re there. Each virtual account is isolated from the others, and access to hardware resources (RAM, CPU, Disk Space, Network throughput) is managed by the physical server. An interesting feature that expands the potential for VPS hosting is the burstable property that allows extra CPU time and/or memory when there is availability and site need.

PRIVATE CLOUD

Sidus Groups Dedicated Private Cloud Service (DPC) is an actual (not virtual) private cloud dedicated to your business and secured to run all of your applications.

The DPC Service offers your business a complete infrastructure for deploying both classic and cloud -based applications. In addition, the DPC Service enables your business to start small and scale as needed in a more efficient manner than with traditional public cloud infrastructures.

Key Benefits of Sidus Groups DPC:

  1. SECURITY: In the DPC your applications and data are stored on your machines, not spread across shared infrastructure.

  1. PERFORMANCE: DPC Virtual Machines can be provisioned with dedicated disk and Ethernet to do the work of physical servers.

  1. ECONOMICS: With high-performance Virtual Machines, it requires less infrastructure to do the same work as a multitude of typical and smaller over-subscribed cloud servers.

Key Features Include:

  • Completely private cloud infrastructure
  • High-performance Virtual Machines
  • Petascale storage available
  • Support of VMware instances migrating from your enterprise
  • Hybrid infrastructure available including dedicated servers
  • Enterprise level support
  • 100% Service Level Agreement

HYBRID CLOUD

The Sidus Group hybrid cloud is a mixed cloud computing environment that provides and manages some of the resources by our engineers while the customer provides other resources.

For example, a client might use the Sidus Group public cloud service for general computing but store customer data within its own cloud.

Although cloud computing is often said to be the future of the industry, the hybrid model is more prevalent for a number of reasons. Large enterprises often already have substantial investments in the infrastructure required to provide resources in-house. Furthermore, many organizations would prefer to keep sensitive data under their own control to ensure security.

Therefore, the Sidus Group hybrid cloud offers flexibility that a public cloud cannot provide.

ELASTIC CLOUD

Sidus Group’s Elastic Compute Cloud is a central part of our cloud computing platform. The elastic cloud allows customers to rent virtual computers on which to run their own computer applications. The elastic cloud allows scalable deployment of applications containing any software desired.

A customer can create, launch, and terminate server instances as needed, paying by the day for active servers, hence the term “elastic”. Our elastic cloud provides clients with control over the geographical location of instances which allows for latency optimization and high levels of redundancy. For example, to minimize downtime, a customer can set up server instances in multiple zones which are insulated from each other.

The elastic cloud can quickly scale to thousands of servers to make resources available as they’re needed. As a result, Elastic cloud hosting customers never need to worry about buying new hardware to meet increasing traffic demands or huge traffic spikes.

GEOGRAPHIC REDUNDANCY

Sidus Group’s cloud computing infrastructure can automatically disperse data to hardware in multiple locations including servers in our international datacenters, so there is never a question of redundancy if one server or cluster of servers in a given geography are unavailable.

If a server becomes overloaded, the clustering technology permits online migration and traffic load to distribute to other data centers.

When used in combination with Sidus Group’s IP Anycast and BGP routing, customers can achieve geographic load balancing and geographic redundancy across all the data centers employing Sidus Group’s Cloud Datacenter Service.
