Virtual Private Servers or VPS are one of several isolated server environments that reside within large and powerful physical servers (think of it like a condominium with all the amenities of your own house, which just happens to be a part of a larger structure). A Virtual Private Server is a simulation of hardware by a host operating system that allows another operating system to run on it.

Sidus Group’s Elastic Compute Cloud is a central part of our cloud computing platform. The elastic cloud allows customers to rent virtual computers on which to run their own computer applications. The elastic cloud allows scalable deployment of applications containing any software desired.

A customer can create, launch, and terminate server instances as needed, paying by the day for active servers, hence the term “elastic”.
